Obituary for Rolando Jimenez


On March 25, 2015, Mr. Rolando Jimenez, resident of Carrolton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at Baylor Hospital in Carrolton.  He was 46 years of age.  Throughout his life he was known to friends and relatives as “Ro”, Rolando, “Rol” or “Lando”.  His love and dedication towards all his friends, and there were many, was consistently complete, reliable and beyond reproach. 


Rolando was of Hispanic/Chinese Ethnicity and had all the best qualities of the two groups.  His primary language was English with a touch of Spanish and a desire to learn Chinese someday.     He was born in Winter Park, Florida in 1968.  As a child, Rolando lived and traveled throughout various parts of the world due to his growing up in a military family. 


Upon his family’s relocation to Ft Worth, Rolando attended and consequently graduated from Western Hills High School.  He continued his education attending the University of Texas Arlington.  His career was in the field of Accounting with expertise in Accounts Payable.  His strong points lay in Leadership, Management and Personnel Relations. He was admired and well thought of by many of his friends, peers and co-workers. 


Rolando enjoyed boating, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Most of all, he loved spending time with the love of his life Amber and their daughter Emma Li.


He is survived by his spouse, Amber, daughter Emma Li and a new born child that was born on April 7th (...two weeks after his death.)  of Carrolton, Texas.  He is also survived by his parents, Jose and Ambrosine (Gina) of Benbrook, Texas and a younger brother, Marcus, sister-in law Elizabeth, nephew Chastin, and niece Braelyn of Midlothian, Texas.


A memorial service was held on April 18th, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church, 1897 West Main Street, Lewisville, Texas 75067.  


In accordance with Rolando’s wishes, immediately following the service, friends and family were invited to attend a gathering at the Lake View Marina, in Lake Dallas Texas..
